AUDITIONS for 101 Dalmatians KIDS, for children currently in grades 2nd-5th will take place on April 4 from 3:00-5:00 PM at the Northland Community and Technical College Theater.
Those who audition will be required to sing a song and read from show dialogue.
Song: needs to be accompanied (so we can determine if the singer can match pitches). We will provide an accompanist, or you can use recorded accompaniment. If recorded accompaniment is chosen, it must not contain other recorded voices (no singing along with your favorite singer. Sorry—save that for the shower!) Also, depending on number of kids auditioning, we may limit time, so don’t be offended if we cut off after a minute or two.
If you use our accompanist, you must bring sheet music. Or we have some available for simple songs like “Happy Birthday”. If you have a favorite hymn, that’s a good choice, too.
Dialogue: We will ask the children to read various parts, so it’s best to be very familiar with the whole page. However, if the child is interested in a particular part, encourage them to practice that part, perhaps even memorizing the lines as best they can. 101 Dalmatian Audition Script
Audition Sheet: Please fill out and bring to the audition. Note the dates of rehearsals and performances. 101 Dalmatians KIDs Audition Form
