TRFACT’s free Musical Audition Prep Workshops are designed to help performers feel confident, prepared, and informed before stepping into the audition room.

These workshops are a great way to prepare for upcoming musical auditions, including the summer 2026 production of The Sound of Music. Sessions are open to performers in 2nd grade and up and are ideal for first-time auditionees as well as those looking for a refresher.

Both workshops will cover the same core material. Participants may attend one or both sessions. Attending both allows additional time for questions and hands-on practice.

Each workshop will include:

An overview of dialogue and singing expectations for musical auditions

● Tips on how to prepare and what to bring
● Audition etiquette and what directors look for
● Q & A session with the creative team
● Time to practice dialogue and or music in small groups

TRFACT’s Kids Theater Workshop is designed to introduce students to basic theater skills, help them feel comfortable on stage, and prepare them for auditions, including TRFACT’s Frozen Kids.

These workshops are open to children in grades 2–5 and are ideal for first-time performers or those looking to build confidence and stage experience.

Each session will include:

● Warm-ups and theater games

● Guided stage activities

● Opportunities to practice performance skills
● Wrap-up discussion and optional take-home exercises
